SECUNDA TANK FARM: OWN PIPELINE REPLACEMENT

The project consisted of two new 5,2 km 12” fuel pipelines between the Sasol Oil Secunda Fuel Depot and the Transnet Pipelines Pump Station in Secunda. A new above ground PIG launcher and surge protection station was constructed adjacent to the Transnet Pipelines Pump Station.VGI’S SCOPE

REPLACEMENT OF 7 TRANSFER PIPELINES FOR SAPREFF
SOUTH AFRICA | LNG, DIESEL, AVGAS | WBHODESCRIPTION
The project entailed the design and construction of a 6 inch and an 8 inch pipeline, with lengths of approximately 1500 m and 650 m respectively. The oil pipeline transports product at 150 DC. The other pipeline transports LPG. The project also included aboveground pipelines with expansion loops and 7 underground pipelines located in the same servitude as the existing 7 pipelines which remained in operation during construction. Existing structures such as pipe bridges had to be re-enforced and re-habilitated.VGI’S SCOPE
VGI was the responsible Engineering Consultancy for the detailed civil, structural and mechanical design of the underground replacement lines for WBHO.VALUE OF SERVICES
