Construction of 2x 6 million litres Jet A-1 storage tanks with associated Piping, Civil & Structural, Electrical, Control & Instrumentation infrastructure and firefighting system.
VGI's Scope
Engineering, Procurement and Construction Management (EPCM) services for the entire new infrastructure including the upgrade of the fire fighting system for the existing tanks.
Alrode Depot Project, South Africa
Project Description
Upgrade of the storage capacity of the existing depot including decommissioning and demolition of existing infrastructure. The fuel depot was designed for a capacity of 1 436 022 m³/yr of petrol (3 grades) and 884 443 m³/yr of diesel (2 grades). Additive handling, vapour recovery, loading and off-loading facilities formed part of the project.
